On the ground with the support of the Humanitarian Workforce program, the Province of Alberta and the
Municipality of Jasper, Team Rubicon Canada is a veteran-led humanitarian aid organization, and
operates as a registered charitable non-profit.
Team Rubicon Canada is preparing to conduct Personal Effects Recovery and Sifting Services for
residents whose properties were affected by the recent wildfires. We are currently working with municipal
and provincial authorities to get the required permissions and agreements in place to start this important
work.
Team Rubicon Canada volunteers, known as Greyshirts, are deploying from across Canada to be part of
teams that will lead these operations. These recovery and sifting operations are conducted at no cost to
homeowners, and follow strict safety protocols that enable our highly trained Greyshirts to sift through the
potentially hazardous debris and ash of homes to find keepsakes, heirlooms, and personal items.
Our volunteers are military veterans, first responders and skilled civilians who work with empathy and
care, meeting each resident’s individual needs before, during and after disasters strike. Highly
experienced in this type of operation, Team Rubicon Canada has served residents of western Canada in
2016 and 2021, working in hundreds of impacted homes after the Fort McMurray and Lytton Creek
wildfires.

We make our best efforts to return emails and telephone calls within 24 hours. Rest assured our team will
be working tirelessly to accurately record all requests, prioritize them in conjunction with direction
received from local authorities, and will start work as soon as it is safe.
In service,
Team Rubicon Canada
