Service Without an Off Switch

My Own Path is a veteran-owned health and wellness business built around more than fitness. It focuses on helping people rebuild strength, both physical and mental, while creating a space where individuals feel supported and understood.  

That foundation made their connection to Team Rubicon Canada feel natural.

For My Own Path, that kind of work reflects something deeper than volunteering.  

“Life is not worth living if it is done for yourself and on your own,” claims Scaglione. “Being part of a functioning community is the cornerstone of being a good human.” 

That dedication is the foundation of how they run their business. For them, labour and community are one in the same. 

Supporting Team Rubicon Canada is one way to spread that thinking outside their own space, assisting volunteers who continue to show up in difficult situations. 

“When we do for others, the hope is reciprocity will kick in and get others doing the good work too,” Scaglione continues.

“If you are not focused on relationships, you are in the game for the wrong reasons,” they said. “You must view the profits of community and relationships.” 

That idea is reflected in one of their core mottos: Be The Tree.
